New Warrnambool depot opens
Powercor crews have moved into their new depot in Warrnambool after an eight-month build.
More than 90 office and field staff have moved into the purpose built site in Horne Road, having outgrown the Strong street site.
It’s a big upgrade for the region, giving crews better access, safer facilities and the space they need to respond to faults and maintain the network more efficiently.
The new site is twice the size of the old depot and includes improved vehicle access, secure undercover parking, truck wash bays, upgraded fire systems, better storage, enhanced security and an EV charger.
This means faster response times and stronger support for communities from Camperdown through to the SA border and up to the Grampians.
