- Some minor underground works on High Street
To allow our crews to complete these works safely, road closures and traffic changes will occur on:
- Ferris Road
- Western Freeway
- Melton Highway
- High Street
When
Works will be carried out intermittently from Monday 25 May 2026 until mid‑August 2026.
Traffic impacts
Most works will take place during the day using lane closures and stop/slow traffic management. Local access to businesses will be maintained where possible.
Some works will occur overnight under full road closures.

What to expect
- Traffic management will guide vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians safely around work areas
- Some power outages may occur (affected customers will be directly notified)
- Increased noise and vehicle activity in the area
- Some works may take longer or be rescheduled due to weather or other factors

Ferris Road northbound partial lane closure
Partial lane closure only, through traffic maintained
Intermittent, 25 May – mid‑August 2026
- Night works: 8:00pm–5:00am
Ferris Road / Western Freeway exit – lane closure, no left hand turn on to Ferris Road
Intermittent, between 13 July and 28 July 2026
- Night works: 8:00pm–5:00am
Ferris Road exit lane (city‑bound slowdown)
Traffic will be reduced to 40km/ph during the below timeframes on the Ferris Road city bound exit lane

- Weekdays: 9:30am–3:00pm
- Weekends: 7:00am–7:00pm
- Night works: 8:00pm–5:00am
